(I'm using the free version of Joomsef 4.3.0)

I have a category tree structure like this

England
|— Avon
|— Bedfordshire
|— Berkshire

Which is English counties.

My SEF url is coming out like this e.g.

www.site.com/england/avon/article

I don't want the top level category shown i.e England so my URL is

www.site.com/avon/article

I've tried all the settings I can find, namely in SEF Extension [ Content ] but I can't remove the 'England' part

I would have thought changing 'Add categories to URL -> only last one' would work but it still does both categories.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi,

Have you updated or deleted the already created SEF URLs in JoomSEF after changing the setting in Content extension parameters? Also make sure that you clear JoomSEF's cache.

Another problem may be that the "england" part is coming from the menu item name. If that's the case, try disabling the "Add menu title to URL" option on the Common tab in Content extension parameters.

Great, that fixed it - something so simple, was taking me ages to figure out!!
