TOPIC: Multilanguage not working?

Multilanguage not working? 12 years, 5 months ago #31040

Hi guys, this looks to me as a very good and helpful component, but unfortunatly i'm having some issues for my multi-language site.
I'm using:
Version: 4.2.7
Date: 4. June 2012

I installed the extension with no issues.
I disabled the "System - Language Filter". I'm using "Language Switcher" module with flags to alternate between languages.

Enable JoomSef language management Yes
Language integration include in path
Always use language? Yes
Add language to multilanguage content Yes
Get language from browser setting? Yes
Save language to cookie? No
Main language: Português

(I'm not sure what "Domain configuration" is)

I ran the website crawler and a bunch of url's were catched.

As a first test, I went to website and the default generated links (as: en/calendar/calendar/calendar) used by my menus worked fine. If I change the url to be en/calendar, the correct english article is opened, but the menus, sidebar, footers, etc. are in portuguese.

Am I missing something?
Any help will be apreciated.

Hi,
Try switching the ordering of System - ARTIO JoomSEF and System - FaLang Database Driver plugins. Also make sure that they're both on top of the system plugins.

Hi dajo, thanks for you response.
But, I'm not using FaLang. I have different menus and articles for both languages...
should it work?

I see. Anyway, native Joomla's multilanguage system should also work. Make sure that the System - ARTIO JoomSEF plugin is the first in ordering.
How did you change the URL? Did you manually edited it using JoomSEF's URLs Manager? Could you post a Real non-SEF URL from URLs Manager for it?
