TOPIC: Issues with translation

Issues with translation 12 years, 1 month ago #33774

Website: www.concierge-hotels.com
System: Joomla 2.5.7
Extensions:
Artio JoomSef 4.2.9 (Paid)
Falang Version V1.1.6 (free)
Multi Languages CK (Non Commercial Plugin)
ZH Google Map

Issue:When Artio JoomSEF is enabled on the website, everything is translated EXCEPT for the description of placemarks (When user clicks on a placemark on a map created using ZH Google Map). When JoomSEF is disabled, everything works fine and are translated (except URLs).

How: FaLang does not have inbuilt capability to translate the ZH Google Map placemarks descriptions and thus had to use Multi Languages CK plugin to translate the descriptions. Now When installed JoomSEF (to translate SEF URLS), URLs are translated, but getting problems with ZH Google Map placemarks descriptions which does not translate. Note that the ZH Google Map loads in a modal box using the plugin from ZH Google Map itself.

Your help will be much appreciated on same as this is the only pending issue and we absolutely require to translate the placemarks descriptions also.

Hi,
JoomSEF hasn't been tested with Multi Languages CK and ZH Google Map, so if there's a problem it's probably not compatible. As both extensions are non-commercial, we will test it and let you know.

Hi,
I've tested it and the translations with Multi Languages CK work fine, the only problem with the map in lightbox window is that language is not transferred through the URL, so for translations to work correctly, go to JoomSEF's Configuration to the Language tab and make sure that the following options are set:

Always use language for homepage: Yes
Save language to cookie: Yes

Then the placemarks descriptions should be translated correctly.

I'm sorry for the delay.
