Using: Joomla 2.5.7 / JoomDoc 3.4.1 Pro

Hello, I've got another one for you. This one might truely be a bug. I am uploading a zip file to JoomDOC that contains 1 folder and 1 file in that folder. I click the extract check box too. The folder gets created but I get a copy failed on the file. See the attached image.

I figured out the problem on my own and just thought I'd share!

My folder names had comas and parenthesis in them. Some process in Joomla or JoomDOC is stripping the charaters. So the folder named: Baqir, Raiz, (MD) on my hard drive is uploaded and becomes Baqir Raiz MD in JoomDOC. I'm guessing the ZIP extracted to the temp folder with the punctuation in it, but JoomDOC stripped it so when it goes to the temp folder using the stripped name it can't find the file because the stripped name doesn't exist.

So I removed the punctuation from the folder name, rezipped it and it uploaded perfectly!

I am using Joomla 1.5 and i solved the issue.

Go in to folder administrator>components>libraries>joomdoc>filesystem>filesystem.php

Going to near line number 169.
JoomDOCString::safe function is calling.

That function remove the "," form folder you can remove the function.
but that function is useful for safe string.

Let try this above.and let me know

I'm on Joomla 3.0 and
I have the same problem,

I tryed hardik advice, I commented out function called line 169.
But this is did'nt resolve my bug.

If someone can help me soon, I will be happy

I had work with joomla 1.5 and joomla 2.5 and solved that issue.

Related to can you give me some detail?
1) What exact error?

2) Which line you comment please give that line code and name of the function?

My error is exactly the same as cljones, attached: a screenshot describe the situation (in French),


that is to say, at the moment unzip the zip file in question and extract all the documents content, it shows me "copy failed".
So I did what you said earlier: I commented out line 168 of file :
C: \ wamp \ www \ joomla 2.5 \ administrator \ components \ com_joomdoc \ libraries \ joomdoc \ filesystem \ filesystem.php
the function call JoomDOCString :: safe ($ NewFolder) which sets the variable $ NewFolder

This modification does not change the problem ....
After several tries, I noticed that even the demo site of JoomDoc (http://demo.tramin.artio.cz/joomla25/index.php?option=com_joomdoc&view=documents&Itemid=292) has the same problem.

So, either you find a solution and I will be very grateful
