Hi, I am having trouble trying to install JoomDOC3 onto Joomla 1.7. The install seems to work fine, I think but I am never given the opportunity to set an absolute path a folder and when I click on the documents page I get three errors:

Can someone please tell me how to resolve these issues please?

You are not alone DC. I also am experiencing the exact same problem with JoomDoc3 on Joomla 1.7. I cannot locate any documentation to explain how to create a root folder for document storage through component configuration. Has anyone a suggestion on how to make this work?

I have exactly the same 3 messages and this one :

Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$componentid in /homez.318/XXX/www/XXX/libraries/joomla/application/menu.php on line 235

So it's impossible to use this extension (JoomDOC3 onto Joomla 1.7).

Has anyone an idea please ?

if you do not want to use the default folder that should be created automatically on installation, you need to create it manually - e.g. using FTP and then only point to in in JoomDOC 3 configuration.

JoomDOC 3 will not create the folder. (in most cases that would not be possible due to permission settings on server).

Also, altough the default directory created on JoomDOC installation is protected from direct download using .htaccess file, for even better security of the files, move the document directory outside the Joomla (and webserver) root.

I a newbie on Joomla and JoomDOC using version --> JoomDOC 3.2.2 and Joomla 1.7.1.. Installation of JoomDOC was smooth but having problem on downloading files from the front end. It gives the error not found in server. May i know what is the problem? Thanks in advance.
