We use WordPress for blogging. We are using a version which integrates into Joomla and is not a standalone application, as a result, the script for Google Analytics is appearing in the XML for the Feed and making it invalid with IE. For some reason, Firefox is able to figure it out. I haven't tested Safari or Chrome yet.

Is there a fix for this? If not, is there a way to block the script from entering the feed?

I can confirm this. We have an RSS 2.0 feed (Ninja RSS module). The GA script gets into the RSS XML at top level. Firefox indeed ignores it , but IE fails to validate the XML, thus - doesn't render the feed.

I have installed the ARTIO Google Analytics Tracking Plugin on my Joomla 1.5.21 Installation and it also corrupts my Ninja RSS feed.

As this seems to be a very old issue, I would hope that there is a solution in the meantime.
But I could not find it here.

Any advise would be highly appreciated.

I use a standard joomla RSS feed. I red many people had problems with invalid rss. The script has been moved at the end, but the feed is still invalid. Is any chance to stop inserting GA script into the feeds?

I installed Artio GA and XML feed (for eshop compare portal like heureka.cz) but in the end of every feed is GA code. Is solution for this?
