Just checked into this and realized I stopped using the component and switched to another (edocman) which better fit the needs. Glad the problem is resolved though.

I have a single menu item (Document Library) which references the document root. Within in that I have 3 folders, then within the folders I have multiple files. For example the "Agenda and Minutes" folder has 50+ files.

You can see the sort problem by looking in the "Agenda and Minutes" folder.

Cleared all cache. Browser cache and any cache settings in J! Still not working.

Yes I'm setting things in the menu item (attached image) but it still does not want to sort by date. The results can be seen at

Having the same problem. Front end document order sorts by title no matter what sort options are set. Any info much appreciated.
