I bought your jDownloads Extension, but it does not work with the latest jDownloads version:

Can you please update the (short) code to make it work again?

The plugin is set to JoomSEF extension and I deleted every url to recreate them.

But they are not as they should.

Hi there,

I bought the jDownloads extension but it does not create the right urls.

For example:
Lets say there is a category "Smartphone" and a subcategory of this category "iPhone".
Additonaly there is a file "Best App".

At this time the urls look like

• site.com/category/ (for "smartphone")
• site.com/category/ (for "iphone")
• site.com/download/ (for "Best App)

So you can see it does just not work right and I cant use it....

Please help me, I mean I paid for it...

I want, that JoomSef does ignore every lang paramter in non-sef URL, because it causes multible urls:


It should ignore it in every component.

Is this possible?

Hi everyone,

I want to create a custom rewrite rule that sends all request from "/viewdownload" to "/"

So everyone how tries to hit "www.site.com/bla/blabla/bla/viewdownload" will be redirected to "www.site.com/bla/blabla/bla". And this in any case :)

Is there any way to realize that?

I updated JoomSef in two hole different joomla systems to 4.3.0 and since that, the config page is not accessible.
The only thing I can see q white page :(

But the extension could not be the problem, because the error is the same, when I disable it (or uninstall it)...

So there must be another reason for this problem :/

The Joomla Version is 2.5.7, JoomSEF 4.2.9 and jDownloads 1.9.1

If you want you can have a admin account too, to see the configs

Probably there are no dublicate URL created and also if I disable the SEF URL just for jDownloads component, it also doesn`t work....

How can I find out, where the problem comes from?

edit: But if you type in a category like /index.php?option=com_jdownloads&catid=3&view=viewcategory it works fine (and also if your logged in, then it works also well).
But if you select the home link like /index.php this occurs the 404 error...

Ok the problem is only on a "jdownloads" page...

But if I disable JoomSef it works, so the problem belongs to JoomSEF

I have a huge problem with JoomSef:

When I try to go on my /index.php page, I got a 404 error. And not the JoomSef 404 error, but this error:


But when I`m logged in, it works and I can reach my index.php page.

When I disable JoomSef all works fine.

Unfortunately there is no entry in the error log...

Where is the problem?

edit: Since today I got an 404 error on every site (exept the /administrator page)
