Can you post your .htaccess file here, or check if the 3rd party redirects are uncommented and the core directs are commented out? Also, do you have any Apache or IIS redirects? If so, I would check those for conflicts, however, my first assumption is that there is a problem with the .htaccess file. Also, did you copy your files over from the old site or did you do a fresh install and then modify the config?

I believe you are correct in saying that the URLs are too long. Create shorter title aliases, and use those for the URL generation. In the configuration there is an option. Select "use title aliases", then purge the automatically created URLs. I believe, however, if you do not have title aliases for a certain content item, it will use the title name. This allows you to only create title aliases for content with extremely long names. Let me know if this works for you.

Did you turn off SEF URLs in the configuration or did you just disable the component? If turning off SEF URLs altogether fixed your site, then your new server may not allow .htaccess files. Talk to the people who host your site and see if they can allow .htacces files for your specific directory.

Also, if you regenerated the URLs or reinstalled ARTIO, there is a possibility that you overwrote some custom redirects.

Are you using a new database, or connecting to the previous one? Let me know, I can help you troubleshoot :).

Hi all,

Just wanted to say that in the new version of ARTIO Joomla SEF I found what might be confusing to some people. In the configuration there is an option that says "Exclude source info (Itemid)." Since I thought clicking "Yes" would generate URLs without the Itemid, I tried it; however, when the URLs were generated, they had "?itemid=[number]" at the end of each one. I then went back into the configuration and selected "No" and purged the URLs and they were recreated properly. I think it is more intuitive and grammatically correct to change it to "Include source info (Itemid)", because then if someone selects "Yes" it will behave in a way that makes sense.

"Yes, exclude source info (Itemid)" -- currently includes itemid
"No, exclude source info (Itemid)" -- currently excludes itemid

Thank you for your time!
