Still have the problem that I can't back up the URLs. Is this going to be fixed? Thanks.

Update: the SSL thing was solved by disabling the Use SEF setting in Joomla configuration. But I still get the "Unknown network error" when trying to export URLs.

JoomSEF seems to be causing all kinds of unexpected problems with Joomla 3.8.0. I upgraded JoomSEF to the latest paid-for version, 4.7.0, but this hasn't helped.

For example I get a "network error" when trying to export URLs. Also, pages are being displayed without SSL, even though JoomSEF is set up to enforce SSL.

I would like to purge the URLs and have them regenerate, but I daren't because I can't backup the existing URLs.

I just installed JoomSEF 4 on a multilingual site with Joomla 3.2. The URLs were all fine. They were SEF and followed the menu hierarchy nicely. The only problem was that on the English pages were only being indexed by search engines, so we needed JoomSEF to make sure that the German pages (managed using Falang) were also indexed.

Now I see that JoomSEF has not taken over the existing URLs, but generated its own. How can I make it keep the existing URLs? Thanks.
