Hi David
Try to understand this from a customers view. We come to your company to buy the best sef product in the market and i believe that you have that, at least when we use with Joomla as a CMS system without a lot of other components.
Since we have been using this on several customers and everything is working perfect and we see that you also have a addon for virtuemart i automatically think that this is also a killer product from Artio. (we trust you guys and our experience tells us to do so, due to our good experience with your products.)
The question is not if "VM not supporting SEF components properly" or not, the question is will Artio virtuemart sef addon deliver the same kind of service like the Joomsef component??? If there is a bug/bad code or whatever in VM i think that Artio should not sell the addonn for VM if you already know that this is a problem.
Artio will become the market leader with the Joomsef component and if you release addonns that works properly for 3 party components.
We need to know that you guys are here for the long run and that you take us as clients seriously. You can
make us happy customers by making us get happy clients :)
Keep up the good work and hopefully you can use feedback like this to make even better products!

Hi Craig
Thank you for sharing this with me. The world around "joomla" and "components" to joomla is pretty much like you are describing it.
1. We by a product that is pretty technical and is supposed to make our customers more sef online
2. We find out that there is something "wrong" and use huge amounts of time trying to identify where the "problem" "configuration error" or "bug" is. This is extremely time consuming and often frustrating for us and our clients.
3. We post our findings and may or may not receive a reply within a week or so. During this time we search all different forums to see if there is anyone out there with a solution that we can use.
We would be more interested to buy products and pay more than we are doing today if the products where more mature. When we find some "errors" in the code the supplier should give us credits and be polite and not try to charge us money so they can help us with their own bugs!
But as always technology is often very complicated and developers tend to say "clients are stupid and the do not understand". I really hope that Artio will understand that it is important for them to also say once in a while that, sorry this products was not mature enough or money back....
But still we as producers of web solutions will always be the loosing part since our clients will get pissed at us and we will loose our credibility.
In our company we try to have a "mature" strategy for dealing with joomla and addons.
1. Use a standard joomla install
2. Use only suppliers that are mature and you can trust (not always easy to find out)
3. Only install what you really need and not what you want.
4. Do not tweek in the source code.
5. Use out of the box solutions
We have been using JoomSef with great success for other clients but not with virtuemart before or the virtuemart addon. We have published the sitemap in Joomsef in google webmaster tools and we have more than 2 200 links, but only 44 are indexed. (really shitty) why i really dont know but it is frustrating not getting an reply on your posts.
I really hope that Artio will be the best supplier when it comes to Sef, but they have to test their products even more before lauching a porduct, but i hope they will mature more.

Hi!
We have the following configuration:
Joomla 1.5.15
Virtuemart 1.1.4
SEF 3.6.2
Virtuemart sef extension 2.0.20
Problem description 1:
We are able to generate the xml sitmap when we choose to generate 100 and 100. We are not able to choos all pages , the index, and then generate sitemap.xml. When trying to generate the whole sitemap it goes to a blank page.
Problem description 2:
When the sitemap has been submittet to goole.com/webmasters it shows 2.023 urls that has been submittet, but only 44 has been indexed by google. It turns out that only articles are been indexed and not pages with products, (virtuemart products pages)
Does anoynoe have any clue? We have several customers with the same problem.

Hi
We have moved a website from a solution that uses index.jsp files ex. www.domain.com/index.jsp?c=3128&exp=3128.
The webiste that originally was not hosted on a joomla solution.
We want to permanent redirect this to example: www.domain.com/snowreport/ but we are not able to do so.
When i use the 301 redirect and try to put inn index.jsp?c=3128&exp=3128 in the Old Non-Sef Url i get a message that The old Non-Sef url must begin with index.php.
What do i do to make sure i am able to use the 301 redirect without the system asking for the index.php?, or am i doing something wrong here? Our client has more that 1000 urls indexed in google and we urgent need to fix this.
Does anyone know?
