Does anybody know why a site would not get more than the home page indexed by google then?

Most all the sites that I have put up are primarily video / social networking sites. They all pretty much use seyret, community builder, fireboard, joomseo, and joomsef along with the appropriate integrations to work with each other.

However it seems that google only indexes 1 - 4 pages of each site. Primarily the home page.

Is there something that I am messing up that is causing the sites to be flagged for duplicate content? I was thinking it had to do with using a site map mod with sef however I have tried making new sites and left the mapping out and I still get the same result.
