I renamed the htaccess.txt to .htaccess as instructed. I might try disabling some of the exploit filters in there to see if that speeds things up. Not sure but worth a try. As far as JoomSEF 3.0, I read that it is not compatible with Joomla 1.0.x series. only 1.5 That is why I am using 2.2.6

Mine told me it did not find one but it also said it installed it. I checked it and it actually did create the .htaccess for me.

I moved my entire site to a different host this morning due to issues with GoDaddy. I have JoomSEF working now but I have noticed that my site loads extremely slow when it is enabled. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

I am running JoomSEF 2.2.6 with Joomla 1.0.15. So far all is good except one problem. I run a chat room called FlashChat by a third party called Tufat. FlashChat is integrated into my Joomla so it uses the same logins and passwords, etc and is installed in a directory called chat/ within my Joomla root directory. It is called via a file named flashchat.php

I've noticed that when I have JoomSEF enabled, My SEF link to the chat room is www.emstalk.us/# but when I click on it, it pops up like it's going to load my chat room but instead I get a \"page not found\" error.

How can I configure JoomSEF to call my flashchat script. for example, I want www.emstalk.us/chat to call the flashchat.php script and load my chat room. Is this possible? Has anyone else on here been successful with getting JoomSEF working with FlashChat?

Thank You

Jaysen

I am running Joomla 1.0.15 on GoDaddy hosting and I just installed the Artio JoomSEF 2.2.6 component, I had no problems with the install and it automaically installed the .htaccess for me. I've enabled both JoomSEF and the Global SEF function but now all my links come up 404. Why is this? Is there a problem with JoomSEF and GoDaddy? What do I need to do to get this to work correctly? Any ideas?

Thank You

Jaysen

Anybody at all? Perhaps someone at Artio has an idea why their software does not work with static content. This is very important.

Thanks

I noticed when I am trying to edit my content from the frontpage, when I click either save or cancel in the editor. All I get is a blank white screen. Does JoomSEF support com_content. I checked the configuration and I do not see this in the list. Is there an extension for it?

Does anyone have JoomSEF 2.1.1 working with static content? For example, I have created a Terms of Service page that I want all my members to be able to see. When I have JoomSEF enabled, all I get is a blank white screen.

How do I fix this?

Hi,
Community Builder user registration does not work with JoomSef turned on. The standard Joomla registration works perfectly fine.

When registering using CB's registration forms, on clicking the \"send registration\" button, it just navigates to the profile page and throws an error that the page is restricted for logged in users only.

If I turn off SEF, then the registration works perfectly fine.

Is this a know issue, is there a fix for this one.

cheers

I am having this same problem. I just installed the community builder extension and still no luck getting registrations to work. I am running Joomla 1.0.13 with Community Builder 1.1 and Artio JoomSEF 2.1.0 It also doesn't work with my top menu links

Some help would be nice :-)<br><br>Post edited by: emstalk, at: 2007/08/09 06:56
