I have a little problem with cb profile sef extension. it shows something like
www.planet-asia.net/my_profile/dartagnan.html
but I would like
www.planet-asia.net/dartagnan

How can I specifically modify this sef extension to get rid of .html for profile pages only since I have to have it for news portal.
Secondly, how can I get rid of \"my_profile\" (this is there probably because my main menu item leading to my profile is \"my profile\"

I am using ijoomla news portal with artio joomsef 2.1.1
Their support managed to make my links work.
However they had to add .html suffix in order for links to sections/categories to work.
When I remove this suffix, links go from something like
www.planet-asia.net/home/Music,-movies/index.html
to www.planet-asia.net/homeMusic,-moviesindex without the slashes...
any idea how I could fix this? I used to avoid links with .html suffix

Strange, it works perfectly fine for me. It worked with 1.5.1, works with 2.1.0 and still works once I put the cb plugin for artio joomsef.
How did this happen? did you just install the new version of artio or is that the first time you install artio?
Maybe there is something n the configuration that differs...

Sorry I wanted to reply to add this new information.
Actually now again my site is so fast!
I don't know I removed itemid and put it back I think that's all
also for groupjive and plaxoinvite I put nocache instead of skip. and I removed the \".html\" suffix, I think that's all I don't know what did the trick but it is fast again.... ??? maybe you have an explanation.
Otherwise for the cb URLs why do I get \"my-profile\" in between the site name and the username? How to get rid of it?
Oh and just a little question:will it be able in the future for a user to change his URL himself like in mike's user profile plugin that does not work with SEF URLs on

I do not see such URLs. But I had to exclude plaxo invite and groupjive tabs (skip) so maybe this is why...? Edit =&gt; apparently it is fine these components seem to work with last artio 2.1.0, but appending the itemid makes the url looks like website/my-profile/username.html?itemidxxx . redit: I removed the .html but can I get rid of the \&quot;my-profile\&quot; as well?
For the speed I think It was fine at first but then I changed some parameters and now the website is kind of stuck at the beginning. I tried removing SEF URLs in joomla configuration and remove the htaccess file and it seemed that this latency was not there anymore. What I did recently is exclude info and reappend itemID to yes. Do you think this may be the reason?

I just installed 2.1.0 and CB extension.
I was wondering is this extension only changing the title that appears in the browser or is it also supposed to make a URL with the name of the user?
second question is what you guys use to preserve a decent speed for your website? I think that with version 1.5.1 I had some latencies on my website, not sure it was entirely due to artio joomsef though. Maybe version 2.1.0 will be better with the cache system.

I had not seen that before. I don't think it should be any problem so I didn't reappedn itemid as I want to keep nice URLs.
But now I'll have to go to search engines to remove old URLs hehe

on my joomla website, I've got several URL linking to the same page. For example an article is referenced in the frontpage, in its category, in the cb profile of its author, and elsewhere so there are 6 different URLs generated by joomla to go to the same article. (and actually it's bad because it creates other problems like no modules on the left if I come from a certain place anyway this is another problem). Then you will tell me it is a problem related to joomla. Yes, but is there a possibility with artio to get the same URL for all ? I tried editing in the backend, but of course it tells me the URL already exists.
I am also afraid that search engines see these highly duplicated URL for same content...
And it may be a problem for social bookmarking as well cause the URL is not the same whether you came to it from a location or another.....
