I have a strange behaviour to report, after Joomsef installation, I found that if I open a content item within joomla's editor and in the text there are some apostrophes every apostrophe become duplicated

example

l'assassino si svegliò
becomes..
l''assassino si sveglio'
and every time I open that content in an editor every apostrophe doubles
l''''assassino
l''''''''assassino
and so on

I tried to change editors from wysiwyg to jce but nothing, problem remains.
disabling joomsef does not help.

Is it a known problem? Please help me, I am submerged by apostrophes!
