I'm having the same problem as the OP, except I have got PHP 5.2. When I open up the website (with JoomSEF turned off) I get the same unexpected error. When I change the code in joomsef.php I get the follow error message on the Homepage only:

Warning: Missing argument 2 for _varfiltertest() in /home/hdspace/public_html/components/com_sef/joomsef.php on line 1993

It's repeated 11 times down the page.

Any ideas?

Can you confirm what I am doing wrong? When I reset the URL's I continue to get this problem with Glossary URL's.

I'm fairly certain the glossary extension was already installed with the base Artio installation?

Even if I remove the glossary URL's from the list of SEF URLs they return in the same format?

Fixed. Just needed to increase the memory limit in php.ini.

Debugging comes up with the following error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4864 bytes) in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/client/libraries/joomla/utilities/simplexml.php(305) : eval()'d code on line 1

Does this make sense to anyone?

Just wondering about the Glossary SEF extension - it currently gives out URL's like test.com/glossary and test.com/glossary1 for all of the glossary terms.

Is their some way to get it to have the glossary term itself incorporated into the URL i.e. test.com/glossary/i_am_a_glossary_term? Would be so much more user friendly and (i'm guessing) search engine friendly (which is the point isn't it?)

Thanks very much for this component, you've done a great job! I've got a couple of questions:

1. I am getting errors currently on a Blog page I have setup. When I load the page I get a blank page. This seems to stem from the JXtended comments plugin I am using, when I disable it, SEF works perfect. I noticed I can use 'nocache' or 'skip' to fix this problem, but when I select these options, save and clear the cache, I still get the blank pages (and Artio is still trying to convert the URL's to SEF. Am I missing something here, how do I get Artio to ignore this plugin/component? Do you have any experience with getting JXtended comments to work - I would love to find an extension, but doesn't seem to be available?
2. Number 2 - I was wondering if it is possible to nest URL's, so that they don't all look like test.com/sub-sub-page/ but that they will show up under their proper hierarchy i.e. test.com/first-page/sub-page/sub-sub-page/?
