This numbering can not be modified. But you can user VM2 order numbers in PDF Invoices. You can find settings in:
Invoice Configuration -> Invoice Numbering -> Invoice Number.

As you can see from the image I use the numbering of the Invoice.
So I can not change the type of numbering In (confugurazione bill) because I would lose the manual numbering.
In the version of vm1 instead of the id I see the order number that generates virtuemart 1.
