just getting DOMAIN DOES NOT MATCH will not upgrade to paid version?

Paid version, i put in my download ID which is correct it shows my personal information but says domain is wrong.

a. why would it check the domain when with paid version i can use on all my sites?
b. why doesnt it work is it because i didnt put in the full domain name only the first part?

the license is per one Magento site. (this includes multiple storeview)
In such case (when you have more storeviews, even on different domains) , the URL including the domain where the administration resides must be entered.

The instructions are written above the fields, when purchsing the product.
