Hi guys, im after a bit of help, i need to change the heading so that when my google search queery comes up it displays the page title instead of my site name

Hello,

You can set not to add the site name to page title in JoomSEF's configuration on the Title and Meta Tags tab using the "Use sitename in page titles" option.
You can customize page titles using the Manage SEF URLs page - you can set your own title for each URL separately. Make sure to clear the JoomSEF's and Joomla's caches so the changes are updated.

What does clearing the cache actually do..??

Clears the JoomSEF's cache of URLs. The main URLs storage is in the database, however the URLs with the configured number of hits are copied into disk cache and they are used from there to decrease the queries count to database. You won't lose any of the URLs when clearing the cache. For more information on URLs caching please refer to JoomSEF's documentation.

Well the standard page title (as set by the component that displayed the page, so for example the article title) without the site name will be used, or if you set custom page title for the particular URL, it will be used instead.
