artiotist: Well your JoomSEF version 1.5.1 is quite old now, you can try upgrading it to the latest version. Or you can buy two hours of our support time at www.artio.net/en/eshop/support-services and we can try to find the problem on your server for you.

I know it is old, but it should still have worked right? Have you any other ideas because i cannot really afford to pay for support :(

if I install the newer one , how would I do that?

There should already be an Upgrade function present in the 1.5.1 version, you can use that. But please, have a recent backup of your site and database prior to upgrading, just in case something would go wrong.

Could you list all the permissions I that have to be set to writeable in cpanel file manager part of my website?


I changed the joomsef php in here to writeable:

/ public_html / components / com_sef /


and the joomsef metabot.php in here to writeable:

/ public_html / mambots / system /


and the joomsef_cpanel.php in here:

/ public_html / administrator / components / com_sef /


basically anywhere I saw the word joomsef, do other permissions (which don't say joomsef) have to be changed in order for this to work?

also if i upgrade will it still work with my virtumart plugin?
