Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help on my probelm,

I have Joomsef installed and a virtuemart component last year. Only now have I decided to change all my meta tags,

the problem is that when I go to my admin panel - components - artiojoomsef - view/edit SEF URLs ...

I change some meta tags to test it but it does actually change on the website! :laugh:
(i.e changes don't have any effect even thought they are saved on joomsef)

Just wondering if anyone could help :-[

Have you cleaned the JoomSEF's cache and any other cache that may have the old meta tags stored?

Hello,

For JoomSEF - go to JoomSEF's control panel and click the Clean Cache button in toolbar.
For Joomla - in menu go to System -> Clean All Caches.
That should be it, if you use any other custom cache component, you should know it.

hmm okay,

first of all, when i click on joomsef component - joomesef confirguration - there is no "clear cache option"

nor is there one in my system in jooma when I click system - I have a choice of , version check, global checking and system info,

I think i've seen the problem though because whilst I was checking this it says ARTIO JoomSEF Configuration Unwriteable -- (also when i checked permissions it says cache directory is unwritable

so I have to make that writeable right? or am I on the wrong lines

Yes, you should have both of them writable. Also, I said JoomSEF's control panel, NOT configuration. In Control panel, there is a Clean Cache button in the toolbar.
