First of all i want to say that i ve already used succesfully 404SEFx in an other website.
Now i tried to use this one in a new website i m finishing.
The joomla installation is at the root so the htaccess RewriteBase is with a hash in front.
I ve already enabled SEF in Global configuration and installed the ARTIO JoomSEF and tried to open my website but it doesnt work at all. I m constantly getting 404 Not Found errors.

ok, i ve found it!
It was so silly....
all i had to is to uncomment the '3rd Party or Core SEF' lines in my .htaccess.

there is something more that i think it appears often in other users too,
well i use com_hotornot and i want it to be inside the artio joomsef configuration so i tried to use it with &quot;use default handler&quot; option.

But when i try to open the menu that the component lies i get this error

Do u have an idea of whats happening?
Maybe is something with the configuration of artio joomsef or even with htaccess 3rd party core sef?

The sef_ext.php code of the &quot;com_hotornot&quot; module is probably not getting the variable it expects and therefore this error is generated. You should contact authors or maintainers of the component's sef_ext.php to make needed fixes.

Hi,

the problem is located in the sef_ext.php file provided by authors of com_hotornot2. You either need to inform the authors, or delete the mentioned file (so it is not called by SEF) or disable SEF for this component at all.

Hopefully, we can check it closer soon and write a working ext for hotornot (or its authors will).
