Hello,

Go to Extensions -> Plugin Manager and make sure the "System - ARTIO JoomSEF" is enabled and "JoomFish - router" is disabled.

Best regards,

I tried this suggestion - unfortunately it did not work.

I could not find the plugin "JoomFish - router" - I assume you meant 'Jfrouter'.

With Jfrouter switched off none of the translations worked, although the 404 error was solved.

I must say I am disappointed by how long it is taking to sort this problem out - considering how important joomfish integration is.

I cannot use Artio because of this.
The problem with Joomla is that there are so many different pieces of software made by so many different people. They are at different stages and do not interact smoothly all of the time.

I am running the basic Joomla SEF.
This works with Joomfish
I am also running a property letting software Jomres.

I had a problem that the Jomres images for properties did not show up - this means whatever it causing this must come off the site.

I would love to use Artio - but until it works well with Joomfish I will have to settle for the basic SEF package.

I agree Joomfish is a very significant piece of software and exemplifies the international collaborative nature of Joomla. It is a pity they don't mesh yet.

Hello,

there are by default 2 plugins (mambots) installed by JoomFish.
JoomFish router needs to be off when JoomSEF is on.
But the JoomFish database needs to stay on for translations to work. Both JoomSEF and JoomFish DB mambots should be the very first ones among the system mambots.

We are running JoomFish + JoomSEF at many sites of our own with no problems. So I believe this might be just misconfiguration. Or some other piece of Joomla-related code interfering. You have named the problem well, it is quite difficult to make work so many pieces of code from so many different authors. That is both advantage and disadvantage of open source.

However, not to be pesimistic, it works in most cases. However, there are some minor cases when it does not. Sorry for those. Just do not ask us to solve such for you (this is ment generally not to you personally) for free. :-) But you can always get a paid support and so far we have never failed to find a solution to a problem. Mostly it is just matter of time spent on that. If the default setup does not work, you can try other solutions. If you think our is best and want to use it, then buy a support. The good thing is, you have choice. ;-)
