Apologize me if this matter has been already discussed... here i go.

Has you know Hot Property is used for Real Estate but also can be used for (almost) anything else (online store, book store) if you have the time and patience to work on the code. (that´s what i am doing)

Joomsef is working just great on my installation but on the url the " /property/" is appearing. Is there a way of removing/changing it???

Hi,

yes, it is! You can change it in JoomSEF configuration, by putting the desired value into the text box next to the "hot property" component name. There is also a checkbox, if you check it, there will be no "sub-path", so the base URL for hot property will be just "/".

If you put there, e.g. "books", it will be "/books/".

I can insert a desired value next to the "hot property" component name and it work just fine replacing the hotproperty in url by something else but the "property" bit is always appearing.

ex: www.domain.com/hotproperty/property/propertycategory/propertyname.html

What i want is make the /property/ bit out of the url.

I have tried the check the box next to the component option but nothing append.

The hot property extension is not installed, do i need to purchase it to make it work properly?

Hello,

this way is the default how the URLs for Hot Property are made without storage to DB. I am afraid the "property" work cannot be removed, the URL translation would not work then.
With the extension we offer, the URLs are stored to DB which offer bigger flexibility. There, the "property" word is not needed as the translation to SEO URLs and back is working in a bit different way.
