I just installed JoomSEF everything look ok, I see a bunch of links, but when I go to my site I can not access those links, 404 error.

I read most of the messages here in regards this issue, but I dont get it, I see a lot of diferent info... Can anyone explain this process in basic english, or maybe in spanish for that matter...

I cant get this to work, I need someone who can help me... I have at least 10+ domains that I want to do this process, so I need to know how///

when you see 404 errors for all links just after you have turned the SEF on your site on, this most probably because your .htaccess is not configured properly or that the URL rewriting does not work at all at your server.

How to configure .htaccess has been described many times in this forums and also is mentioned in documentation and FAQs, so I will not repeat this here again.

If you are not sure whether the rewriting works at all (mean whether it is installed on the server and whether the server configuration allows you to use the .htaccess file at all) you should check with the server administrator.
