One of the reason to have ARTIO Booking in my organization is to have different facilities assigned to different division or persons.

I was amazed with ARTIO decision that we will not qualify to version 2 upgrade even though we have recently purchased the version 1.5.7.

Book it! 2 and Book it! 1 are not compatible components, so there will be probably not easy to upgrade from 1.5.9 to 2. Database tables will be probably not so different, but there can be still some changes (problems in upgrade).

I am sorry, but nobody tested it. It was not our goal to have Book it! 2 compatible with version 1. Book it! 2 is based on Book it! 1 component, but then we had to redesign it for Joomla 3.0. Because there are also many new features and probably database modifications, it can be problem for upgrade.

But...
Stable version of Book it! 2 should be released this week.
Then we have plan to add all new features from Book it! 2 to Book it! 1. So there should be 2 version of booking component which will be probably compatible minimally in database. We should wait for it and maybe you will be able to use Book it! 1 without upgrading.

I really like the Artio Booking 1.5.7 but my online issue was is the single notification that I'm looking for, what we have is 5 different resources for our staff to book but each of these resources belong to a different moderators, and I was looking to have that implemented in this version, but I guess you guys implemented that in the version 2, which is make it now difficult to upgrade since we have already using the Bookit 1 and I have lost of reservations till next year. and now as I read though that its no compatible with version 1 so I will not be able to transfer the reservations data to the new version.
in this case, please consider my request about having sing notification for version 1. that's will rock my life.
