Hi,

I have just installed Booik It 2 and I tried to use the "Confirm Reservation" option but nothing seemed to happen with public booking process, payment gateways were shown and payment was possible.

I would like to use it to insert a step between reservation and payment in case hotels don't have capacity.

Is this option functional?

Hello,

Enabled 'Confirm Reservation' only set new reservations to pre-reserved. They are not confirmed, but they block calendar time.
I am not sure, what do you exactly need. If you need that new reservations do not block time in calendar until they are paid, then you can set in prices settings of the bookable item. There is column Reservation Expiration. Set there Online Payment Only.
Or do you need something else?

I understand it.

Just another thing. Is there any way to send an email when reservation is confirmed? I think this is a Status change that should be adviced to customers.

Yes, you can set and completely design 5 types of emails. You can find Email Templates in Control Panel, see attachement.

When you create your templates, you can assign them in Configuration -> Mailing.

Please, remember that every email use different replacement fields.
Registration Marks can be used for Registration emails.
Reservation Marks can be used for Reservation emails.
Change Status Marks can be used for Change Status emails.

You can find all marks in email template detail.

Hi,
I'm testing configuration.
I set the Reservation to 'Online Payment' but this still blocks a time slot even if payment is not made. Is there another step in the process?
