Im having the same sort of problem.

My meta tags. arent working. Some I can change, and edit them correctly but some wont change.

I will give you an example. index.php?option=com_content&task=category&sectionid=4&id=26 and underneath in item id box it says 36.

ive looked and this is the old sef url...

The new url which works correctly via the menu is www.france4u.biz/holiday-lettings/index.php but i cannot edit the met tags for this...I cant see why.

Even if I delete the sef url in
JoomSEF / View/Edit Custom Redirects and create a new one, I still cant edit the meta tags.

Ive checked this too. I have it writeable on my own site, but my client site all the permissions seem to be correct but it still isnt writeable what else should i try.

Hmmm....I have checked these and they are all 775 permission in chmod.

Why does jom_sef configuration still appear unwriteable??

It seems to be the configuration file that is not writeable causing the issue.

While file(s) should be writeable.

I am doing some seo for a client. He has ARTIO JoomSEF v2.2.6 installed correctly. And has sef url's. However I am not able to change any of the meta info, apart from the front page.

Any ideas?
