Hello I am in need of assistance from anyone who knows :(

I helped a friend with a site and in the meantime his page ranking have completely dropped off the map because google no longer maps his pages. I set up a robot and it says that it is working properly, yet all the pages come up with a could not find. If I click then I reach them all. Can anyone suggest something because it looks like a few weeks of work is going to be thrown out because of this...

I can only tell you that if the settings are not exactly the same on the live system, you will possibly run into this problem. That was the error I made. I tested in on the same host and no problem. Once I went to another host then it kicked in.

I also made a stupid mistake in that I did not download the entire site before I uploaded it again. So the settings were missing. I hope this helps.

I created a website in a testing environment that I wanted to put into production.

I did the switch and everything functioned without a hitch except for the URLs.

Now the URLs all go to white pages although the setting are exactly the same as the ones that i took from the old system. Except for the new configuration.php file.

What I know ...

-->Both sites (old and new) are hosted at Godaddy in a unique folder under a main root. Although I do not know if this could be a problem I have not excluded it.

--> I am using SEF ARTIO and strangely enough even when this is disabled the Search engine friendly component in Joomla does not work. This has got me to wonder what settings are possible conflicting with the new site because it does not appear to be an extension problem.

--> I have contacted my provider and mod_rewrite is enabled so I am not thinking that this is a problem.

--> Otherwise it is the same system, only going to unresolved URLs when it is used in the standard Joomla.

--> I would like to first solve the Joomla problem and then progress to the 3rd party extension. Can anyone give me any hints as I have been struggling for some time with this one.

Hello group,

I have been having some problems with the transition between the languages and the URL translations on my site. In some cases I find that it keeps the text from one language or the other. So there is no consistency with the translation of the titles in the URL field.

Can someone point me in a direction to solve this?
