TOPIC: Searching by K2 Tools - URLs are non-SEF

Searching by K2 Tools - URLs are non-SEF 12 years, 10 months ago #27748

Hello.

I'm using K2 Tools and search part of that. My enviroment is Joomla 1.7.3, Artio 4.2.2 and K2 extension 3.0.1
One day instead nice SEF URL like:
www.lacneubytovanie.sk/ubytovanie-dudince-villa-eva

I got non-SEF URL like
www.lacneubytovanie.sk/component/k2/item...lla-eva/1319?lang=sk

What I enabled in my enviroment was Joomla cache. I didn't test if this made described problem.
Regards
Jan

Hi,
Please check that K2 uses JoomSEF handler (in JoomSEF's Manage Extensions page) and try clearing the cache. Also please try disabling the cache to see if it's the cause of the problem.

Yes, the problem is in the cache. When I disable the cache then the issue dissapears ...

This problem sometimes happens from the early Joomla 1.5, so it seems it's still not solved in 2.5. According to Joomla forums it is not related to specific SEF component, it sometimes even happens with core Joomla SEF, so it is a bug in core Joomla. Unfortunately it happens very occasionally (probably due to some specific server configuration), so it is very difficult to track down.

So if you want to have the cache enabled, we can try to find the source of this problem, but for the above mentioned reasons, we would need to work directly on your server, and because it seems that it's not directly caused by JoomSEF, it would be a paid support service.
