TOPIC: Registration and User Links Broken

Registration and User Links Broken 14 years, 3 months ago #14343

We are using Joomsef 3 with JoomFish, the registration and login links are broken. They read:

reset/#content
remind/#content

Please advise.

Hello,

Try disabling the JoomFish router - go to Plugins Manager in Joomla and disable the System - Jfrouter plugin.

That does not seem to work.

The problem can be seen on the url below:

www.drivebooker.gr

Any other ideas as to why this could be happening?

It seems that there's a problem with non-ASCII characters in the URL, so the URL is generated like:
//reset
because the Greek characters are removed from the first part of URL and two slashes remain instead of just one. We'll try to fix the double slash problem in next version of JoomSEF.

In the meantime, you probably have three choices:
1. Manually change those URLs using the Manage SEF URLs page in JoomSEF.
2. Use the "Non-ascii char replacements" in JoomSEF's Configuration on Advanced tab to control how the Greek characters should be replaced with the ASCII characters in URLs.
3. Enable the "Allow UTF-8 characters in URL" option in JoomSEF's Configuration on the Advanced tab.
