TOPIC: Links in custom HTML module

Links in custom HTML module 14 years, 3 months ago #12382

Hi,

I have a number of links in the custom HTML module. When displayed they are displayed as:

https://www.office123.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=9:web-page&catid=45:features&Itemid=24

But when I click them they get converted to their proper sef url:

https://www.office123.net/web-page.html

How do I get them to display as the SEF url inside the custom HTML module without hardcoding the links?

Hello,

The System - SEF plugin should take care of this automatically, so go to Plugin Manager and make sure the System - SEF plugin is enabled.

Hi David,

Thanks for the quick response,

The plugin is activated. The links work everywhere else on the site, including menues and the like. The only place it does not work is inside custom html modules.

Our site is at www.office123.net and if you look at the links in the bottom right corner, you will see the problem.

Could it be that code needs to be added to the software to handle module based content?

Hi,

It should work without any special care. Make sure the links in the module have the following form:
index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=6&catid=45&Itemid=25

It is important that the links do not begin with /.
