TOPIC: Joomsef url spdf, atom, rss what to do with them

Joomsef url spdf, atom, rss what to do with them 14 years, 4 months ago #13209

Hi,

My Order No. 10998

I just posted this item by accident in the free forum now a repost in the paid

I have the same issue, Joomsef works great, but somethings are not explained in the manual.

From every article I also see also a PDF url, I see ATOM

What I like to know is what to do with these items

page1 page2 page3
pdf links
ATOM
RSS

What do I do with these urls
Do I delete them, where and how?
Do I not index them for the sitemap
Do I create meta tags for them or not

Please give me an answer for each item separately

My goal is to end op as much as possible on top in google, yahoo and bing etc...

Please give your best possible advice, or if there is not really a best advice explain me the options and there consequences.

Kind regards

Sytze Baarda

Hi,

I think you don't need to index or create meta tags for PDF, ATOM and RSS links. PDF link just offers the article in PDF format to be downloaded and ATOM and RSS link to feeds - you can find more about them at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_feed

The page1, page2, page3 link to indiividual pages for example in the category view, when there are more articles that can be displayed on one page. It depends on you whether you want those links indexed, but I think indexing the first page is enough.
