Hello, when created our web pages we inserted the metadata i.e Titles, Keywords and Description that we wanted to use within Joomla 1.5. Joomsef is instead creating its own metadata (keywords and descriptions) which is overriding the metadata we want. How do we prevent this? Also what is the function of the active or inactive checkbox on the right side of the URL manager? Our Joomsef creates unwanted URL's regularly as well and it won't stop. Is there a way to fix that? Go to Manage Extensions page, click the Content extension, expand the Meta Tags parameters group, and disable keywords and description generation. You will probably need to delete the already created URLs and clear the cache so they can be recreated without the JoomSEF's metadata.

The Active checkbox is used when there are two or more same SEF URLs for different Real URLs - in that case, you can set which of the Real URLs will be used.

What exactly do you mean by "unwanted URLs"? Can you post some examples?
