Hi,

I've noticed JoomSEF isn't compatible with the News Pro GK4 extension I'm using on my site. It creates the SEF URL, but the link directs you to the home page instead of the News Pro article.

Is there a work around for this? I can't see any JoomSEF extensions for News Pro GK4 here. Is it possible to request one for it? I'm willing to pay.

yes, you are right. To make it work correctly, most likely a special extension will be needed.

An alternative is also to turn JoomSEF router off for this component and use the Joomla or component default router -- but I am not sure what the results will be.

Hi. I tested News Pro GK4 with both J!1.5 and 1.6 and everything runs fine.

News Pro GK4 is module, not component, that means it doesn't have any own URLs, but only creates links to existing articles. So important thing is to have proper extension in JoomSEF for that component which you are displaying in News Pro GK4, more than have special extension for News Pro GK4.

Can you send your exact configuration to determine where is the problem? (like what component you are using for articles)

I'm still very much a novice when it comes to Joomla, so I'm not sure what configuration you'd like to see. You're correct in saying News Pro GK4 is indeed a module and not a component. So it makes sense that I may need to use another JoomSEF extension. Unfortunately I'm not sure exactly what component is used for articles as I was under the impression I was using the default article component that came with the Joomla 1.5 package. However I'm using a Joomla template that i purchased, so maybe another component was installed along with the template.

If you could point me in the right direction, I'll find the info you're after asap.
