Hi Pama,
Thanks for your response.
I'm still very much a novice when it comes to Joomla, so I'm not sure what configuration you'd like to see. You're correct in saying News Pro GK4 is indeed a module and not a component. So it makes sense that I may need to use another JoomSEF extension. Unfortunately I'm not sure exactly what component is used for articles as I was under the impression I was using the default article component that came with the Joomla 1.5 package. However I'm using a Joomla template that i purchased, so maybe another component was installed along with the template.
If you could point me in the right direction, I'll find the info you're after asap.
Thanks again
Mark

Hi,
I've noticed JoomSEF isn't compatible with the News Pro GK4 extension I'm using on my site. It creates the SEF URL, but the link directs you to the home page instead of the News Pro article.
Is there a work around for this? I can't see any JoomSEF extensions for News Pro GK4 here. Is it possible to request one for it? I'm willing to pay.
Please let me know if you can help.
Regards,
Mark

Posting order ID in the hopes of getting a faster response now:

I'll also repost the question:
Can anyone answer if JoomSEF is compatible with the News Pro GK4 module? Is there a known extension or workaround for this?
I'm pretty sure i know what the answer is, but some confirmation would be nice.
I'm using Joomla 1.6 with VM 1.1.8 if that info helps. I've also purchased and am using the JoomSEF Virtuemart extension.

I just realised that Apache mod_rewrite is disabled in the SEF Status panel, but when I try to enable it, it does not enable. I'm guessing this could be the cause of my issues.
Doesn't anyone know why I cannot enable this option? Does it have something to do with my permissions not be set correctly? How can I rectify this?
EDIT: I have checked the permissions in Help → System Info → Directory permissions and everything is set to writable.
Does anyone have any clue why I'm not able to set Apache mod_rewrite to enable?
Thanks in advance
DOUBLE EDIT: Okay, I reinstalled JoomSEF and I'm now able to enable Apache mod_rewrite. However this did not solve my original problem of JoomSEF appearing not to be compatible with my News Pro GK4 module.
So can anyone answer if JoomSEF is compatible with the News Pro GK4 module? Is there an extension or workaround for this?

Hi,
I just installed JoomSEF onto my site along with the Virtuemart extension and I couldn't be happier with it.
The only issue I'm having is that JoomSEF doesn't seem to be compatible with another extension I'm using called News Pro GK4. Whenever I click a news article link, instead of taking me to the news article I get redirect to my home page.
I was wondering if there is an JoomSEF extension available for this or a work around that could solve this problem?
If you need anymore information from, just let me know. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Mark
