How often should i clear the cache and purgew sef urls.

i do a bit of work loading new products and changing sku's in the backend approx once a week, i was doing work on it everyday and purging and clearing the cache daily, but joomsef went tits up, so had to start from scratch, since starting from scratch i have only cleared the cache once or twice and the same with purging sef url's as i dont wan the same problem as i had last time when the site links stopped working.

Hi,

You should clear the cache and purge URLs only when you change some configuration that affects the SEF URLs appearance, so the URLs can be re-generated with new settings. If you change parameters only for some extension, you can delete (or in new version trash) only URLs for the extension affected. You can read more information in JoomSEF's documentation.
