I am a paying user of JoomSef and I see that there is an extension for Sobi2 SEF. I would be glad to buy that if it would work with clones of Sobi2, too, but from what I can see, the Sobi2 clones are not recognized by JoomSef as Sobi components, and do not even have the posibility to set Use Component Router.
What I am asking is: if I buy the Sobi2 extension for JoomSef will it work on clones too?

If by "SOBI2 clone" you mean that you have two separate installations of SOBI2 component, then it should be possible to just rename the SOBI2 extension so it matches the "option" variable of the SOBI2 clone. However I cannot guarantee that it will really work as we haven't tested this.
Also you cannot explicitly set "Component's router" for any component, you set "JoomSEF handler" and if the component has its own router and there is no JoomSEF extension installed for it, then the component's router is used automatically.
