TOPIC: separator in menu sent back to index

separator in menu sent back to index 14 years, 5 months ago #12822

Hi, I t seems if I use a separator in my menu navigation it normally looks like this www.domain.com/# and if you click it, it should do nothing. After i installed SEF and you click on a separator menu item it sends you back to the home page.

Is there a way for this not to happen? Maybe Im missing a setting or something. Thanks in advance

Hello,

What version of Joomla do you use, what module do you use for the menu (standard Joomla mod_mainmenu or something else) and what template do you use?

Best regards,

Go to JoomSEF configuration and on the Advanced tab set "Set page base href value" option to "No - disable base href generation". Does it help?

Woops... now I get this:

JoomSEF Error - Could not save the SEF URL to database: MySQL server has gone away SQL=INSERT INTO `jos_sefurls` (`sefurl`, `origurl`, `priority`, `Itemid`, `trace`, `sm_indexed`, `sm_date`, `sm_frequency`, `sm_priority`) VALUES ('content.html', 'index.php?option=com_content&id=41&layout=blog&view=category', '55', '147', NULL, '1', '2010-06-23', 'weekly', '0.5')

Even if I change this it still comes up. Help :(
