Hello,

You need to set writable all the files and directories in the following directories:
/components/com_sef
/administrator/components/com_sef

and the joomsef_metabot.php and joomsef_metabot.xml in /mambots/system

If you use JoomFish, you should also set writable all the files in /administrator/components/com_joomfish/contentelements

Also don't forget to set writable to the directories themselves.


When you upgrade, the VM extension won't be compatible, but you should also be able to see the VM extension on the Upgrade page, so you should be able to Upgrade it the same way as JoomSEF.
