Last night I upgraded JoomSEF from 3.1 to 3.7 by using the built in JoomSEF upgrade tool. It appeared at the time that everything was fine so I went to bed. Today it appears that every page on the site is broken. Every page returns the error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method JoomSEF::_varfiltertest() in /home/content/..../administrator/components/com_sef/classes/seftools.php on line 990

I did notice that JoomSEF appears to be working because if I type in a custom URL I see the address bar jump to the correct URL but still the page will not load, giving me the same error message.

If I turn off JoomSEF the site works again (but with the joomla core sef urls).

Database Version: 5.0.91-log
Database Collation: utf8_general_ci
PHP Version: 5.2.8
Web Server: Apache
Web Server to PHP interface: cgi-fcgi
Joomla! Version: Joomla! 1.5.20

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Quick update on things, I purged the SEF urls and cleared the url cache. nothing changed.

Finally fixed it. Just had to delete the joomsef component folders and reinstall 3.7. The upgrade install must have failed in some way and corrupted the whole thing.
