I set up joomSEF on a test server and everything worked fine. Our sys admin moved the site to the production server, and now we no longer can get it to work. The homepage is throwing the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function emptyf() in [Apache path]\components\com_sef\joomsef.php on line 974

Hello,

What version of JoomSEF do you use? I haven't found any "emptyf" string in the current version of joomsef.php. Have you made some custom modifications to the file?

We are using v3.7.2. We used Akeeba backup and kickstart to move from test to production server. The restore works fine when I restore to my local machine. Both test and local machine have joomla installed in the server root. The production server has the site located in a sub-folder. So I did expect to get some redirect errors due to wrong base url, but cannot figure out that fatal error.

Try manually copying the file /components/com_sef/joomsef.php from your test server over the file on the production server. Maybe there was some problem with movement of the whole site. However, I can assure you that there's no call to emptyf() function in the joomsef.php file in 3.7.2 version.
