Hi,

After installing JoomSEF I am getting this error on a white page when trying to access my site:

Fatal error: Class sefext_com_content: Cannot inherit from undefined class sef_404 in /var/www/vhosts/mydomain.com/httpdocs/components/com_sef/sef_ext/com_content.php on line 14

FYI. I had OpenSEF installed but uninstalled it before installing JoomSEF.

Have made sure .htaccess is the same as it says in the documentation after installing.

I also tried installing an older version just in case there was corrupted files in the latest version. This was the cause of this same error for somebody else in this forums. But I got the exact same error with the older version too.

I hope somebody can help as I now have only the normal Joomla url's which are different to what have been spidered.

I installed version 1.5 and everything works fine. If I upgrade manually or via the auto updater it breaks with the above errors...

do you use some third party SEF related components or custom hacks? It seems the com_content extension gets loaded before SEF is initialised.

I do have this problem too. Working with Jooma 1.0.13 und Artio SEF 2.1.0 (MySQL 4.0.15, PHP 4.3.3, Apache 2.0.48).

The only additional SEF stuff I have installed is the standard SEF bot of Joomla itself.

Hi, i don't use any other sef products. Only OpenSEF before, but i had to uninstall that to install JoomSEF.

I'm running J 1.0.12. But it has been upgraded and upgraded since the mambo days.

Everything is running fine with JoomSEF 1.5. Although it would be good if the urls weren't truncated. But thats another post.
