You can see the structure of the menu is About home exchange > Section 1 > Frequently asked questions. Section 1 is being used for the URL, how can I remove this?

Hi,
Open Content extension parameters from the Manage Extensions page in JoomSEF. There change the "Show Category" and "Show Section" options to remove the section-1 part.
After the configuration change you need to delete the already created URLs using Manage SEF URLs page (so they can be recreated with new settings) and then clear the Joomla's and JoomSEF's caches.
