URL: right item.....wrong category in url, Why?

Hi,
Could you be more specific? Maybe post some examples of URLs, how do they look like and how they should look like? Also what version of JoomSEF do you use?

click on any of the products......
the category for this link is :solar-system-monitoring
the menu category that's reponding is : solar inverters
the enphase category have nothing to do with this product but its in the URL for the solar-system-monitoring category.

The first part of SEF URL is the menu item title. Go to JoomSEF -> Manage Extensions -> VirtueMart -> Common tab and disable the "Show Menu Title" option. After this change, use the Manage SEF URLs page to delete or update the already created VirtueMart URLs and clear Joomla and JoomSEF caches.

Can you also tell me why does it say "directpv.com/mm-series/inverters/magnum-...inverters/mm-series?redirected=1 "redirected=1" at the end of all my urls?

Purge will delete all your SEF URLs. I don't know what other components you use on your website, so if you've made the change only for VirtueMart, you can use the Manage SEF URLs page in JoomSEF to delete only VirtueMart's URLs.
