I changed the "virtuemart" alias to "eshop" so all future products or categories get created by "eshop" alias.

Is there an easy way to change the alias for previously "virtuemart" created alias.

Hi,

You can use JoomSEF's URLs Manager for this. Set the filters so only the URLs with "virtuemart" alias are displayed, then in the toolbar set "All filtered" in the first box and "Update URLs" in the second box, then click the "Proceed" button.
Please note that by default the 301 Redirects will be automatically created from your old URLs to the new ones using this process. If you don't want them, just open 301 Manager and delete them.

so the url from www.mydomain.com/virtuemart/category will be www.mydomain.com/eshop/category

Open JoomSEF -> Manage Extensions page -> VirtueMart extension parameters and on the Common tab set Custom menu title to "eshop" (without the quotes).
