TOPIC: Duplicates in SEF URLS

Duplicates in SEF URLS 10 years, 4 months ago #45170

Hi. Just installed the free versions of Artio, but the URL behaviour is strange.

For example, for the page (which used to be /nowcosmetic.co.uk/dermal-fillers.html) is now:

nowcosmetic.co.uk/dermal-fillers/dermal-fillers/dermal-fillers

Also, most pages are now:

nowcosmetic.co.uk/about-us/news/now-usin...e-for-dermal-fillers

Not sure why the about-us is showing?

I've changed some in manage SEF URLS, but don't fancy doing this manually on my other site, www.sassco.co.uk, where I'm looking to try this out.

Hi,

There are many existing topics in our forum regarding this. By default SEF URLs structure from JoomSEF is:
domain.com/menu-name/categories/article-name

You can control the URLs structure using parameters of JoomSEF extensions. For Joomla articles change parameters for Content extension in JoomSEF's Extensions Manager.
If you want only the article name to be displayed in SEF URL, set "Add categories to URL" to "No" on the Extension tab and "Add menu title to URL" to "No" on the Common tab.

Thanks. I'll give that a go. I did actually run a search for duplicate URLs on the forum, but struggled to find an answer.

Done it. Still no change. Cache cleared as well.

Hi,

You need to also delete old URLs so they can be recreated with new settings.
