TOPIC: pdf2text installation

pdf2text installation 10 years, 9 months ago #43091

I have installed catdoc via the "Install an RPM" feature of WHM running on our webserver but when I attempt to do the same for pdf2text the following is displayed...

RPM Package Installer

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
package-cleanup --dupes
rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
Install complete.

The fulltext feature still does not work and I am unsure if pdf2text is the cause or if it is something else. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,
Mark

Hello, it looks like successfull instalation. Please try simple test - run commands pdftotext and catdoc from shell. Did you upload files before pdftotext intallation? If yes then click on Research button above document list to generate fulltext search data.

Hi Jitr.

Thank you very much for your reply. Running catdoc at the shell returns a list a valid arguments whereas the pdftotext command is not found. I shall have another go at installing this. Do you have any other advice for accomplishing this besides the articles mentioned here: www.artio.net/support-forums/joomdoc/cus...fulltext-not-working

Kind regards,
Mark

P.S. I can't see the Research button in the Documents section of JoomDOC. We are using v3.4.6 Pro. Is it called something different in this version?

There are some problems with dependencies. Please try this:
