Hi jitr,
That works great, thank you!
Is there any way to have Fulltext search enabled too?
Kind regards,

Encoding custom sear ...

Hello,
I need to encode custom URLs using the search functionality built into JoomDOC 3.4.6 Pro for use on an image map.
A simple example would ideally be:
URL 1: /searchresults.php?Cats
URL 2: /searchresults.php?Dogs
URL 3: /searchresults.php?Fish
etc...
The idea is that Cats, Dogs and Fish would just be replacing what is entered into the default search box.
Any advice how this can be achieved would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Mark

Hi Jitr.
Thank you very much for your reply. Running catdoc at the shell returns a list a valid arguments whereas the pdftotext command is not found. I shall have another go at installing this. Do you have any other advice for accomplishing this besides the articles mentioned here: www.artio.net/support-forums/joomdoc/cus...fulltext-not-working
Kind regards,
Mark
P.S. I can't see the Research button in the Documents section of JoomDOC. We are using v3.4.6 Pro. Is it called something different in this version?

I have installed catdoc via the "Install an RPM" feature of WHM running on our webserver but when I attempt to do the same for pdf2text the following is displayed...

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
package-cleanup --dupes
rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
Install complete.
The fulltext feature still does not work and I am unsure if pdf2text is the cause or if it is something else. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Mark

Hi,
I have just purchased JoomDOC3 and installed it onto our J1.5 site. The main reason for choosing JoomDOC was it's fulltext search capabilities. This feature works perfectly on your demo site so naturally this is the first thing I tested on ours. Frustratingly it doesn't work however. Please can someone help me troubleshoot the issue ASAP.
Kind regards,
Mark
