I've been having the same issue here!
Way too many SQL queries!
The default cache limit is 1000 URLs. I'd like to know what are the implications if I change it to let's say 5000 or 10000?
Could it decrease my site overall perfomance?
Best regards,
Douglas Machado

OBX,
It will copy all published and valid OpenSEF URLs that are listed on yoursite.com/administrator/index2.php?option=com_sef&act=aliases and will also copy 1 link for each component as listed in yourSite/administrator/index2.php?option=com_sef&act=config in the components tab.
I didn't understand what you meant by:
I only want the straight joomla SEFs copied over.
Do you mean the Joomla content URLs?

Douglas Machado

thanks for doing this. Surely there is a lot of users that will appreciate that.
I hope so! I had to put a lot of effort into this in order to get it done. I almost gave up, but I usually keep my promises... :)
I've tested in two different Joomla installations, in one of them (pt_BR: gracamaior.com.br) it has inserted over 1700 urls into the JoomSEF table, but it would be awesome if you could test it too!
You can download it here:
joomla.focalizaisso.com.br/en/componente...oomsef-migrator.html
I'm going to submit to Joomla Extension Directory as soon as at least a couple of people test it and we can make sure that it works smoothly.
The only issue I have is with the components... it seems that OpenSEF does not save all the URLs in the database. In focalizaisso.com.br I have MTree installed and over 300 categories and listings... It seems that those categories and listings URLs are not recorded into the database, and this is only reason that is keeping me from migrating to JoomSEF.
Michal, Do you understand how OpenSEF does its job with the components? Can you give me any hint on how I can achieve this?
Best regards,
Douglas Machado

Hey I'm also very interested in any hints or scripts that can migrate from OpenSEF to JoomSEF as I'm looking to do this relatively soon.
I'm working on a component that will backup OpsenSEF tables and insert the old sef URLs as JoomSEF custom URLs.
I'll probably be done by the end of this week.

ARTIO Support Team,
Over 7 months has gone by and I'd like to know if you made those plans to write a script to migrate from OpenSef to JoomSEF happen?
If not so, can you give directions so I can migrate?
What does the cpt in the jos_redirection table stands for?
The only thing that differentiate a automatic generated from a Custom SEF URL is dateadd field? Automatic = 0000-00-00; and custom=date(\"Y-m-d\");

I'm sorry if I didn't make that very clear!
Also, when you fix that, you could also change the SEF URL for:
mtree_directory/viewowner.html to mtree_directory/viewowner/joomla_user_name.html
mtree_directory/viewusersreview.html to mtree_directory/viewusersreview/joomla_user_name.html
mtree_directory/viewusersfav.html to mtree_directory/viewusersfav/joomla_user_name.html
I was looking into the com_mtree.php JoomSEF's file and it's logic is quite different from OpenSEF and AdvanceSEF. Is there a easy way to translate/change the SEF URL? I mean just like OpenSEF and AdvanceSEF lets me change the task alias from viewowner to owner, or in my case from viewowner to proprietario. Could that be done using JoomSEF?
One more thing: Once you implement this handling for search MTree, can you reply to this post? or, is there a JoomSEF newsletter to sign up?

Is there a way to add a option on the configuration page call a php script whenever there is a 404 error?
I want to be able to link to my users profile trough the url in order to do something like:
mysite.com/user_name links to mysite.com/index.php?option=com_mycomponent&task=mytask
It would be a great feature!

Tarik,
The only problem I have so far is stated at:
www.artio.net/en/support-forums/joomla-e...s/mtree-problem/view
However I installed it in a test server, I might see other issues if I install this extension in my production site.
I hope the issues stated in that post will be fixed, than I will for sure use JoomSEF for my directory site.
Best Regards,
Douglas

Hi,
I just installed JoomSEF and I have a problem with the search links.
All the links to a search are like : \"directory/search.html\", \"directory/search-1.html\",...
Those links are working fine however I think that this could be improved and work similar to OpenSef did when I had it installed!
OpenSEF search links are like \"directory/search/1/search_word/\", where search_word is the word I'm searching for, that's say that I'm searching for the word computer, than the link sould show something like \"directory/search/1/computer/\".
It would be even nicer if it could be improved and show something like \"directory/search/computer.html\"
Can this be done?
Best regards,
Douglas

Before I switch from OpenSef to JoomSEF, I need to know if it is compatible with the latest version of MTree released on August 2nd?
